Why Rubyconf is gonna rock!

Rubyconf is a international conference for ruby lovers, we at India rarely witness a truly international conference and often cribb about how I wish I was at google IO, drupalcon or LinuxConf. We do have our share of big conferences like FOSS.in, GNUNIFY or Great Indian developer summit but being part of the "official" conference is totally a different experience. In a fortnight I will be travelling to bangalore to attend RubyConf, and well you might ask "you dont know shit about meta programming, why are you going?" and I would say "hmmm, just for the experience, to see heroes of another civilization". For me a civilization is incomplete without its heroes and hell yeah I believe in the concept of heroes and individual power!!

So who is speaking?
will be your next question?

 Now it gets really easy...

Creator of Ruby - Yukihiro Matsumoto "Matz"  (Update: Its a web conference :()

And why do I care again? Well... Maybe because he cared about developers? Ruby is often hailed as one language that has been designed and developed for developer pleasure. So this guy does attract attention from me atleast, even though I am not a rubyist, I can relate to the whole notion.

So 2 days just to see one guy speak?
Well whats wrong?

And well there would be some other rockstars too from the ruby world. You can read all about them here.
